Stalactites in Colossal Cave

from $30.00

I lived in southern Arizona for many years and must’ve driven past the exit for Colossal Cave Mountain Park at least a thousand times. This past winter, while we were soaking up the Arizona sun, Mindy surprised me with a trip to finally explore it. Colossal Cave is a dry limestone cave that’s been drawing visitors for over a century, and it was seriously cool to see how it’s changed and been preserved over time. From ancient Hohokam use to train robbers hiding out in the Old West, this cave has stories layered into every chamber. If you’re near Tucson, it’s absolutely worth the detour.
